I know it’s a show, so things have to be spread out versus a movie, but ugh it feels like being drip fed the creatures we’re all here to see so we can listen to humans talk and talk about talking for most of the runtime.
There isn’t much monster in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Unless you count relational trauma as a monster.
Right? I wish some of my books were out like that, easy to fit in a pocket or purse. Those sorts of books were always my favorites for train rides and road trips.

A caddisfly larva munching on some pond sludge. They make little houses out of bits of plant material, tiny pebbles, twigs and other debris. They’re super important for healthy aquatic ecosystems and are indicators of good water quality! Always a treat to see.

Ah I’m so glad to hear that! From the beginning I knew there had to be a catnip chapter and I just couldn’t resist playing with the sabercats.
It does crack me up that I’ve had to come up with another pen name for side projects.
Before I was out, even to myself, I wanted to write smut. So I needed a pseudonym. Riley Black sounded right, and it got wrapped up in forming a fursona for myself. Being called Riley by partners and friends felt right, and so my possible pen name became my name.
My name is like a foster cat fail.
