hey, I’ve worked on this project for the past 4 years. ignore the web3 stuff - we only use the good parts (self-sovereign identities) and even that is entirely opt-in. thereβ€˜s no sketchy token stuff / trading / launchpad / scams to be found. the community is great and the project is super legit. ❀️

4% of GitHub public commits are being authored by Claude Code right now.
At the current trajectory Claude Code will be 20%+ of all daily commits by the end of 2026.

not sure how btc could ever recover from this. meanwhile ethereum to claim the spot as most legitimate chain

conclusion: it seems btc is fundamentally a pre-quantum network, I donβ€˜t see a path how it can be upgraded while maintaining the legitimacy in enjoys today

anyone agree/disagree?

luddite maxis will maintain the old ledger, claiming that quantum computers will never scale, further diminishing the legitimacy of any forks

best option seems to be:
- big corpos & miners agree on the fork they will support in advance
- satoshi’s coins are burned

burning satoshiβ€˜s coins appears necessary but will cost a great amount of legitimacy. after all it could be the stash of someone in cryosleep

i don’t understand how Bitcoin will survive quantum computers:
- no coherent governance
- likely multiple competing forks
- even if a legitimate fork appears in time, how do you deal with Satoshiβ€˜s coins? not a single good answer there
- some chance >0% Satoshi actually moves coins

"We knew the story of the international rules-based order was partially false. That the strongest would exempt themselves when convenient. That trade rules were enforced asymmetrically.

And we knew that int. law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused or the victim."
