Caitlin KALINOWSKI over X I resigned from OpenAl. I care deeply about the Robotics team and the work we built together. This wasn't an easy call. Al has an important role in national security. But surveillance of Americans without judicial oversight and lethal autonomy without human authorization are lines that deserved more deliberation than they got. This was about principle, not people. I have deep respect for Sam and the team, and I'm proud of what we built together.

Apropos of nothing, I was just delighted again remembering that everyone in the UK pronounces the name of an animal (the gnu) incorrectly because of a comedy song by Flanders and Swann. No idea why that popped into my head. But it’s just wonderful that we do.

Maybe! Will definitely look into that. The Beeb and ITV were properly working on a joint online streaming platform called Kangaroo back in the day. It got shat on by the regulators, so got stopped. But then it got a rebirth as BritBox, which the US got a year or so before us.

You should not be allowed to hold office in the US if you have faith or are religious in any way. I’m not a member of the Supreme Court, obviously, but if I was that would be my starting point. With reference to everything being about the separation of church and state in the Constitution. Ban them.
