Truly! This looks pretty neat too - though i wonder how @vrkomarov.bsky.social is avoiding denoising on the volume
Finally, I came around at implementing DOF and wiring it to the camera manipulator system. Click and drag to samples the scene to estimate the focus distance, while scroll to modulate the aperture.
Hey All, I made a header only C++ library (MIT) where line of code inits, then you can start writing to pixels on the screen.
I call it thirteen.h, inspired by the simplicity of the 13h days.
Examples include a mandelbrot viewer and a playable mine sweeper game.

I think about this a lot
It’s sad to see you leaving here. Your work has been incredibly inspiring and good to learn from
are you stepping away from social media?

Nice! Is the division a result of reflecting the ray about some mirror planes, like Noah was thinking?
BIG FIGHT AT POLAND’S WROCLAW ZOO!!!
May 2026 be better, safer, and fairer. May all that was good in 2025 be better in 2026. May all that was bad in 2025 be things we put our efforts towards improving.
Blink Twice may be a good watch in that case
Steves purchased the property to prevent it from closing. Many homeless people had come to depend on the Lynnwood Hygiene Center, which had operated rent-free on the property since 2020. n.pr/3MKbmJH
Another algorithm tutorial with great visuals - just in time for holiday break!
interesting - this spectral renderer is a hop, skip, and a jump from simulated crystallography (someone I know recently did some work related to simulated crystal growth jbaker.graphics/writings/cry...) - this is a physical, real process used to identify crystals via their diffraction patterns

I spend 1.5 years doing this. Full rewrite last summer and another partial rewrite last month. As Hemingway said: "First draft of everything is always shit".
Someone on twitter writes: "You could move to Aplington, Iowa and get a job at the post office making $25 an hour to start, meet a nice girl at the First Reformed Church and take her on a date to Stinky's Bar and Grill, and get married and raise up seven children in this house but you will not do it." There's a screenshot of a Zillow listing showing a rundown 8 bedroom, 1 bathroom home for $95,000.
If you want to do something like this, why not buy a $150k home in a small town in Italy, France, Spain, or Mexico, instead of having nine people share one bathroom after they eat at a restaurant called "Stinky's?"

Spatial warps remap the positions used to sample an object’s distance field – effectively bending the space around the object.
This illustration shows that process in action using a twist operation.
Decided to go back to making Shadertoy fluid sims for for a bit.
This time I improved my particle clustering cellular automaton SPH fluid sim to support multiple species particle merging and splitting. Also some fine tuning of the physics.

seems like in this situation the post is a flat out lie

First test with ReSTIR, just for direct lighting for now. Figuring out the weights was a bit finicky, ngl. This scene is a bit too easy since all light sources are in the same spot, gonna try placing a bunch of light sources tomorrow.
