Anyway, keep doing really annoying PowerPoints with lots of bullet points, as inconsistently as possible to keep your job.

Very interesting. I can see immediate barrier being whether people trust the calculator with access to their banking info. Lots certainly wouldnβt trust a DWP one with that.
See for example this in the conclusion (which I assume you haven't reached let - afraid it is a long book!!)
Paywall is off this one until 5pm today...
Our walking tour isn't about fame or nostalgia. Itβs a walk about what The Beatles learned, and how those lessons shaped their music, their ambitions, and the foundations of the modern music industry. 5 April. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

God I hadnβt even looked that closely at the map. Likeβ¦ WTF???
Oh Ianβ¦
Luckily long-term her delusions became very benign. In many ways it was better. Although bedbound in her mind she had shopping trips to New York, saw Paul McCartney at Glastonbury, regularly visited her best friend in Cambridge. βGosh that sounds funβ was best response.
When speaking to person describing delusional beliefs, listen without interrupting or dismissing their experiences. Instead of immediately correcting them, say something calm and neutral like:
βThat must be very frightening for you.β'
#delirium
For example, when she was repeatedly worried how she would get home from France, rather than telling her she was at home in England, I learned to reassure her that I would find her passport and had travel plans all in hand.
Thank you for highlighting this. When my mother had delirium correcting her only increased her distress. I slowly learned to offer reassurance instead, even if that meant going along with the delusion.
Also if simply dividing vertically should we be correcting for a truer North/South axis???
Some sort of complicated surface area calculation is needed
Tho I fear weβre all missing @robmanuel.b3ta.comβs point which was IF you divide the country into THIRDS then the Midlands is this big areaβ¦
The Midlands line needs to sit just below Sheffield really

Moving is good! Moving is better than not moving. If it hurts on the floor maybe give yourself a break and go back to doing them in bed. Bed Pilates better than no Pilates.
Donβt compare yourself to long past Sarah. Compare yourself to 1 month ago Sarah. Or 6 months ago Sarah. You got this!!
Similarly I think design tokens not Design Tokens unless itβs in the title
Lowercase surely? Itβs just a normal word/noun not the name of a person or company.
Reminder that the Call for Sessions for September's @sdingov.bsky.social event is open: govservicedesign.net/call-sessions

To add: The traditional right wing (Conservatives) and left wing (Labour) parties were both beaten by βupstartsβ. Conservative vote totally collapsed (to <2%) in favour of Reform UK (think UK MAGA wannabes). Labour vote swung significantly to Greens. Greens came 1st, Reform 2nd, Labour 3rd.
Graph showing any division of Green + Labour vote in Gorton & Denton byelection always results in one or other exceeding reform total. Actual result also illustrated.
For anyone struggling to visualise: Here the "Progressive" vote (Green + Labour) is split in all possible ways. One of Green or Labour always has total exceeding Reform.
Over the past eighteen months, the political science consensus on the nature of Labour's vote has been absolutely correct - and yet also completely ignored by pundits and strategists who continue to get it wrong.
I feel you but a year also feelsβ¦ not bad given the totally f**ked state of the NHS. On the groups Iβm in for migraine and POTS anyone who can afford it is going private cos the wait is ridiculous.
Once youβve got the referral badger them for an cancellation appointment
Thing is, when people make this accusation what they're also saying is "People with sight difficulties can't possibly have a sense of humour." So who, really, is the ableist one here? And are you raising a worthwhile issue? Or just being a self-appointed lieutenant of the twatpolice?
I've written a blog post about the dream of joined-up government.
It's slightly grumpy.

Urgh . I hope you get someone good at the end of all this but yeah, share your scepticism. I had some CBT but it wasnβt very good at dealing with there being an ACTUAL problem (grief, illness) rather than a problem your brain thinks is worse than it is
