Got out of jail a bit there. Poor overall from us, but Madueke was really positive when he came on, & it was just about a penalty as he drove into the box.
Big pressure for Kai against his old club, made no mistake.
1-1 with the 2nd leg at home not a bad position to be in but improvement needed
FT: Got out of jail there. Arsenal disappointing on the night with nowhere near enough pace or intention in their play (might as well copy and paste that every week). Leverkusen defended well but they were hardly tested.
Good result considering the circumstances and happy for Kai to score.
A cyberattack claimed by pro-Iran hackers has caused a βglobal network disruptionβ to a major US medical device maker, according to a company statement. https://cnn.it/4rZvFCs
Zubimendiβs role seems less and less clear to me as time goes by. Rice just goes everywhere and does everything.
Of course Andrich scores. Our heads haven't been screwed on this half.
As we get closer to the period of the season where we can win things, I think we are going to need Saka to hit something closer to his best form. An in-form Saka can make a performance like this look a lot better.
So many good moves where we got it to him in space but they came to nothing
HT: Quite boring. Martinelli unlucky with his chance but Arsenal have been too slow/loose in the final third - not maximising opportunities well enough.
Leverkusen have defended well and they're slowing the game down (Andrich lucky not to be sent off?) but we can definitely do better.
Saka freezing in front of goal before attempting a shot is nightmarish! π€¦πΎββοΈ
Tough going, Martinelli smacking the bar after some lovely play the best chance of the game. But, Leverkusen setting up very much like a PL side off the ball, and we're struggling to break them down.
Kofane a handful for them up front, would like to see us up the pace of the passing a bit 2nd half
There were plenty of good moves that half that shouldβve led to quality scoring opportunities, but both Saka and Martinelli were off their best and squandered some good openings.
Too slow. Too laboured.
Why is he sprinting to every free kick?

Come on Arsenal!
The ball isn't in play any less than it used to be. What's different is.... Arsenal are top.π #COYG

That was horrible really. We played poorly, but defended stoutly 2nd half.
But it's a HUGE night in the title race, a massive win for Arsenal and City have dropped points. Results wise, it could hardly be better.
And Fabian Hurzeler is very unhappy, which adds the icing to this particular cake.
