I really want to submit this article today and get it out of my hands, but I really don't want to write the abstract (in two languages) that needs to go with it.

In the end it comes down to the total lack of a precipitating crisis that was not engineered by the United States.

In cynically political terms, the dilemma was obvious from the start: either the campaign is too easy, Iran totally overwhelmed by US power, in which case it seems unnecessary; or there is a real fight and there are many U.S. casualties, in which case it is unpopular because deadly (plus expensive).

Today I am at put-the-cheese-in-the-dishwasher-and-the-plate-in-the-fridge levels of doing great.

Thinking about this as we see reports that Russia is providing Iranian forces with intelligence.

This is basically all that is happening on "X" anymore -- someone posts a baity post and the replies are all just people asking MechaHitler if it's true or not.
