This isn't the fault of op or any one person, but FUCK I hate how often we have to say "hey differently and/or less marginalized person, here's how this injustice affects YOU" to get people to actually care about issues

For years now, FPE has advised runners to move away from language like this because the words you choose to use do matter! Instead of saying something like "I'm so OCD" try something like "I'm very particular about this". "Absurd" in the place of "insane" or "crazy" is also my go to.

Once you notice it, you'll always hear it. Every single mainline, the word "insane" gets deeply overused by both comms and runners. There are so so many other words to use that are just as evocative without being offensive or uncaring. I personally just started by subbing in the word "absurd".

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
