Mapped the evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army in south Lebanon over the past two days. The March 03 order marks a significant expansion beyond the immediate border towns and well beyond the Litani River. I counted 105 villages so far.
U.S. military investigators believe it is likely that U.S. forces were responsible for an apparent strike on an Iranian girls' school that killed scores of children.
BBC Verify has pieced together verified videos, satellite imagery and expert views after a deadly attack near a primary school in Minab, souther Iran, which suggest the area was hit more than once "by multiple simultaneous or near-simultaneous strikes".
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
As this investigation says, the theory of a misfired Iranian missile holds no ground: it wouldnβt have been able to cause such precise, targeted damage across several buildings at the naval base.
After some verification work on Iran, Iβve been mentioned by American, Flemish, German, and Spanish media. Meanwhile, my own countryβs media remains a bit shy.
"Summarising Israeli governmentβs position, Citrinowicz said: βIf we can have a coup, great. If we can have people on the streets, great. If we can have a civil war, great. Israel couldnβt care less about the futureβ.β.β. [or] the stability of Iran."
I feel for Iranians dealing with left-wing and right-wing distortions back to back. Both seem more concerned with defending their powerful actor of choice than with the fact that innocent lives, people with families and loved ones, were ripped away.
EXCLUSIVE: The strike that destroyed a school in Minab, Iran was larger than has been previously reported. A nearby clinic was also hit.
The evidence suggests a precision strike against an IRGC base that was adjacent to the school.

I plotted the location of the Minab school (green dot) onto the map shared by the U.S. military during a press conference this week at the Pentagon, for those interested.
A map shared by the US military which shows Operation Epic Fury's timeline alongside a legend with US bases, US / Israeli strikes, Iranian Strikes, Iranian Air Defenses, Nuclear Sites.
Here's the graphic that the U.S. military shared about the operation in Iran:

The main drawback of this website is and forever will be that as a % it is completely unviable to follow MENA when vast supermajority are just Americans. You can not follow anything about the ongoing developments in Bahrain, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq on here
In the past three days, Iβve been called an asset of the Iranian regime by one group and a Zionist by another, sometimes even at the same time. Maybe they should book a room together. In the end, they seem more united than they themselves realize.
Grateful to @ntabrizy.bsky.social for mentioning me in this @newlinesmag.bsky.social piece, which underscores how collaborative open-source investigation is, and why researchers working together matters now more than ever.
Remember also that the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif in addition to Netanyahu and Gallant. They could have delivered him to the ICC but it would have meant also facing the charges. So Israel killed Deif in July 2024.
Accountability itself is what Israel opposes. π§΅

On the third floor of that building you see next to the last explosion on this video is an apartment that belongs to my late dad. Itβs rented out to a tenant now, so no close family. But that is the apartment where my dad spent his last few days.

Even when itβs important to narrow down images and videos coming out, ethics still matter. In some cases, it may be better to share material with someone who works on this professionally so it can be handled responsibly. As I said in this @bellingcat.com article back in September 2023:
