Certain series of books, films, TV earn the right to have a slightly sentimental ending to tie things up properly. Book of Dust most definitely earned that so it was frustrating it didn’t do it.

I think Andersen v Palace is a decent shout over NOR away at Sunderland. More defcon, Palace attack looking weak atm.

I’ve got a decision between Andersen or Thiaw. What swayed you to Andersen?

Won 3 out of 4 (I think) 1-0 by being by far the worst team each time! Progress though.

I wasn’t satisfied with the ending. I don’t really think anyone that was going to commit to this trilogy would have minded another 100 or even 200 pages to finish it properly.

I saw one review that talked about how the ending had to be like that because this isn’t a children’s book but an adults one. It needs to be open. I don’t really agree but understand the point somewhat.

Yeah absolutely. And there’s always a point where you really want to say that they’d be getting a better deal in the other class but you can’t really say that out loud!

I also find it interesting how often parents ask to be with a certain teacher as they think they are better when, internally, the opposite is thought true.
