Self-care can also look like rootling around in skips for beautiful discarded things. All of these maps came from the same skip. I flipping love maps.

I’ve been rummaging in owl pellets again! All of these bones - and a tonne of compressed fur - in just three pellets.

Animal sanctuary: a poetry workshop another chance to catch this fundraising poetry workshop - celebrating sanctuary, and the animals whose lives surround and enrich ours.

In our first Animal Sanctuary workshop, we raised enough - with the support of a generous donation from a participant - to buy a hedgehog incubator! I'm running the workshop again on March 28th, 10-12.30, to raise money for a second incubator. Details below.πŸ¦”

Inside Iran the government has just announced they will shoot on sight any one they believe to be in disagreement with them. The people need you to be their voice. You owe it to them".

barbaric regime. It’s complicated. It’s complex. It’s both/and. Listen and stand in solidarity with the people of Iran who have been tortured and executed for 47 years fighting for their freedom.

"If you’re joining a Stop the War rally this Saturday (which you should), then with every breath you have please ALSO speak up, denounce and fight the fascist and murderous government of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the same time. Every time you say Stop the War also demand the end for this

The Β£750 will be distributed as we see fit.
The amazing Jackie/Jax wanted the cash to support a creative community project that would take place in the north-west (or online).
Please share and like this post. No leaflet this year, so we're relying on social media to get the word out.❀️

I spent St Brigid’s Day up at the Bridestones mapping gulleys and peat hags with Bridestones Rewilded. In the dusk I walked in the woods. The bulbs are through and Spring is on its way.

To mark the end of Writing Hours, Kim Moore cooked a delicious meal, Niamh and I made millionaire shortbread, I got thrashed at Uno, and we did a Tiffany dance tutorial.

31 days of poetry workshops – it’s always hard work, always rewarding, and I feel deep-down lucky to work with my best friend.

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE can’t be reformed and must be abolished.

I’ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy.

Time to melt ICE.

We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.
