Solved a problem I didn't know I was gonna run into LMAO.
That's one of my FAVORITES and a fantastic suggestion; it's what Qirri's dad Pazz calls her. I don't wanna reuse it for This Instance though. orz

Gonna keep posting this around with hope for a hand: I need a word someone might use for a progeny, affectionately, to fit into this sentence:
βI am so sorry I wasnβt able to get you out, my .β
Thinking about, once I get back home, doing a series of comics about Leyya and Zojja's childhood-into-teenhood together.
(I'm stuck in FL and can't draw until I get home forgive me my comlicated lesbian ratposting.)
Of course, she still had that intense loner streak. That need to do things on her own, to stand on her own two feet, to prove herself even if it was only to herself.
But Leyya never left.
And that makes me very emotional.
And it was just as important to him to keep that for her, so that if - god forbid - anything happened to him?
She'd still have someone.
And she still had someone, when he died. She had Leyya, and she had Pruri. She wasn't completely alone.
Then later, when Snaff came into the picture, Pruri DID try to take time to slow down and she found a friend in him. And he didn't mind Leyya popping by. In his mind, Leyya was good for Zojja. Gave her someone she could be friends with. That she could trust when she never had anyone else to rely on.
So they were two kids who took care of each other when they otherwise were almost fully alone. They had each other, even when they didn't have anyone else.
Going back to this like. Even though Leyya grew up with her mother, she spent a lot of time alone more often than not. Not because Pruri wanted to leave her alone; she was doing her best. But she had her other kids too. And Zojja didn't have any family at all until Snaff came into the picture.
No harm in asking, right...?
never too old :)
I felt like drawing some warm-up portrait with Michael

And they both had a laugh realizing that things had really started when they were just a couple of awkward teenagers sharing beetle skewers and mushroom noodles on a starry night.
It wouldn't be until years later that they really realized it was a date. They were talking while Leyya was in recovery from the injuries she took during SotO and while reminiscing, that came up.
No pressure. No classwork. Just two young women who struggled growing up and built a bond stronger than either one of them ever could've realized.
They sat for hours, watching the stars and the lights of labs and little communal ziggurats where families were settling in, talking and laughing, just... actually enjoying being together.
Regardless, a few days later, Leyya got some takeout from a stand they both liked down by the college dorms and broke into a stairway up to an observatory overlooking the whole Magus Valley.
Not that she remembered to ask.
It wasn't long after Leyya came out. She'd been terrified to, not because she thought Zojja would think less of her (asuran culture doesn't have gender roles so transing one's gender is important but not huge), but because she'd been crushing on Zojja for ages and didn't know if she liked women.
Leyya and Zojja's first date was a weird situation, as I don't think either one of them really saw it as a date until they were reminiscing about their teenage years in college. Everyone around them knew it was a date. Snaff and Pruri knew it was a date. They wouldn't cotton on until much later.
No harm in asking, right...?
I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
Thinking about Leyya and Zojja growing up together, sticking together as they both navigated their increasingly complicated home life, and finding comfort in each other through a variety of hard situations.
And that, eventually, translating to their deep affection for each other as adults.
(And NCSoft saying they'll use it heavily in future games too.)
This makes me very leary, especially after the reveal that NCSoft's new MMO is making heavy use of AI...

Rereading "Edge of Destiny" making me want to write about Leyya sneaking into the lab while Snaff and Zojja were in Hoelbrak and so being there when Big Zojja 1.0 came online.
