Back from the ether. Blue City born. SFF/Folk Horror writer. ‘At Night, White Bracken’ out now everywhere, ‘To Those from Below’ coming April 2026. Repped by @losbennett.bsky.social at Liverpool Lit Agency

@eofftv.bsky.social and @bunnydarke.bsky.social just watched ‘Maniac’ and feel like Sangster pushed me down a spiral staircase! Think i have whiplash from the twists (dancing aside). Can’t help but wonder if the relentless drinking might’ve clouded the characters’ judgment though.
Some things were never meant to be buried.
Having been out of print for decades, The Hammer Horror Omnibus is back.
Two volumes and eight iconic films, complete with brand new artwork.
Published with Titan Books. Details and pre-orders available soon. 👀🩸
And very much appreciated! Also, Hammer’s ‘King Kong’?! The role Christopher Lee was born to play?
What a murderous, wild-eyed, horny fruitcake of a film ‘Paranoiac’ was! Bizarre, manic and compelling, having never even heard of it, i was blown away and absolutely loved it. Cheers for the usual great episode and for alerting me to this lunatic beauty @eofftv.bsky.social & @bunnydarke.bsky.social
A FANTASY NOVEL? FOR £6.99?! IN THIS ECONOMY???

Extremely proud of my boy, Duc, this week. After being diagnosed with Lymphoma a month ago, he’s just finished his first cycle of chemo. It’s been tough for him, but he’s powered through: ball-playing, chicken-scoffing, daydreaming and beautiful. I couldn’t love him any more than i do today. Boss.
This week on HAMMER TIME we have a serious case of imposter syndrome, as Kevin (@eofftv.bsky.social) and I dive deep into the twisty, turny - and very creepy - psychological thriller PARANOIAC from 1963. Out now!
Watched ‘Paranoiac’ for the first time last night so, @eofftv.bsky.social & @bunnydarke.bsky.social i’m especially looking forward to tomorrow’s episode. In the meantime, i’m just trying not to lose my shit if the brandy runs dry.
Best urinal in Brum
Walter Hill's brilliant Southern Comfort (1981) is a horror film and we'll brook no argument about that here - a group of National Guardsmen are remorselessly hunted by angry Cajuns through the Louisiana swamp. How could that not be horror?

I’m very excited to say it’s only about a month until my latest novel, ‘To Those from Below’, hits the shelves of all good bookshops, worldwide. I’m stoked with it and, by way an endorsement that means the world to me, the inimitable @ramseycampbell.bsky.social provided the following:
Wolf Rilla's eerie Village of the Damned (1960) is a faithful adaptation of the John Wyndham novel The Midwich Cuckoos, a disturbing tale of alien children implanted in the women of a small English village. One of the greatest of all "creepy kids" films.

💚
Terence Fisher's non-Hammer SF/horror piece Island of Terror (1966) isn't a patch on his work at Bray but it's still a fun, old-fashioned monster film about body-sucking silicon- based creatures loose on a small island.

Cheers for yet another outstanding episode @bunnydarke.bsky.social and @eofftv.bsky.social
Your thoughts really add a ton, especially some lesser seen films.
As for this, it’s a lot of fun, with a serious post-masquerade ball boost, despite Warren’s attempt at Brando and Willman’s balsa wood face.
It's Hammer Time! This week Kevin (@eofftv.bsky.social) and I join a bloodsucking cult as we discuss 1963's KISS OF THE VAMPIRE 🧛🏻♀️💋 Listen wherever you get your podcasts

Cheers, put it down to three weeks of final scene trauma! 😢
The stop-motion animated adventures of Bagpuss (1974), "an old, saggy cloth cat" and his animal friends have been charming British television viewers for decades and it shows no sign of its popularity abating one bit.
eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/02/15/b...
It was a first-time watch for me, with only having a vague idea of what it was about beforehand (leather-clad bikers in Weymouth, Reed’s brolly and something irradiated), so it came as a real surprise to watch it. The ending is incredibly stark and unforgettable. A ‘Hammer-blow’, you might say.
Fantastic discussion as ever this week @bunnydarke.bsky.social and @eofftv.bsky.social thanks!
It’s a film i appreciate more than revere. The tone, ideas and, especially, the ending (!) make it remarkable. Yet another example of Hammer’s breadth, ambition and commitment to breaking viewers’ hearts.
Joseph Losey's The Damned (1961) is an atypical 60s hammer film, a bleak look at small seaside town life, nuclear paranoia and the willingness of the establishment to exploit even the youngest of victims. Still worryingly relevant in so many ways.

This week on HAMMER TIME, Kev (@eofftv.bsky.social) and I are at the seaside in our black leather for some atomic sci-fi action with 1963's THE DAMNED 👦🏼👧🏼 OUT NOW
