Rings of Power on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Naughty Dog's first game under their new name (having made Dream Zone and Keef the Thief as Jam software before that). A minor classic in the Utima-esque free roam crpg category, somehow trapped on the megadrive instead of amiga or pc where it belonged

one of these days I'm gonna fire up U5 in a dos environment so I can get some properly crt-filtered grabs of all this delicious Denis R. Loubet pixel art. One of the best to ever do it, his stocky super-heroic style translates so well to 320x200 EGA

after all this shit is over and done with our philosophers and social scientists will have data to work on for hundreds of years re: what all of this reveals about humanity under capitalism

This bit in the From Russia With Love game made me laugh out loud. You've got a fairly grounded, low key fight based on the one in the movie, then the most video game looking fucker of all time slides into frame.
I know that I sound like a broken record but I think once this society was ok with accepting mass covid deaths just to be able to eat at Applebees then all bets were off.
getting better and better!
Quite enjoy this spread from tonights doodle session.

always a pleasure to see your beautiful art
If I had it in my mind to do video-game consultancy I'd run a tabletop roleplaying campaign as part of pre-pre prod and let ideas live or die according to how much they communally inspire dorward motion. Play teaches us how to make, not hierarchical obligation.
Appreciate you my friend.
yeah it was!
I hear you. I started making games before the 'indie boom', I made games alone, I made them for fun with friends, I made them with small teams, I made them with minimal supervision, then I made them for bigger studios and it was just one step after another to total disillusionment
