☀️ £5 billion will help councils and social housing landlords install insulation and clean energy like solar panels, with low interest loans to help owner-occupiers fit solar panels, heat pumps or insulation.
And a continued commitment to retrofit 5 million homes over the course of this parliament.
💷 Tougher standards for rental homes to help cut bills for tenants and crack down on the scandal of cold, mouldy rentals
🌡️ £2.7 billion will help to drive down the cost of heat pumps, allowing many households to switch from polluting gas boilers. But larger grants are needed for low-income homes.
After 3+ years of us campaigning alongside @friends-earth.bsky.social, the government has now published its #WarmHomesPlan. This is a significant step towards making our homes greener and cheaper to heat.
