He also stupidly thinks of rules of engagement purely as moral constraints, but the point is to coordinate activity so you don’t have one idiot deciding when to start shooting and ruining the whole attack or starting a firefight you’re not prepared for.

He can’t even keep Americans safe outside of Iran. He certainly won’t protect Americans who are stationed on the exact same island as the country he wants to attack.

The problem with being in a delusional cult is that you can convince yourself that you can save people by killing them because then they go to a magical realm of happiness forever based on the rules you made up in your head that aren’t actually in the religion.

For someone who lies as much as he does, he really does fuck up the easy ones that any politician would know you don’t give the real answer to and no one even expects you to.

Also pretty weird that he thinks George Bush started 2 different wars that he didn’t want to win, and that Trump also continued to wage one of those wars with no intention of winning it. The Jessup thing is especially dumb since that speech is from the very scene where he’s admonished and arrested.

Her mistake was not putting him in the ad. No one upstages him and gets to stay.

Republicans want parents to be imprisoned for their kids’ bad behavior, so by that logic Trump should share some of the punishment for what this guy did after he was unleashed back on the public empowered that he was freed from consequences for his actions.

They’re also underestimating just how many of the votes they rely on come from people who don’t know how or lack the ambition to overcome those same barriers, and that trying to stop people from voting against you is a good motivator for them to go out of their way to do so.

They may try AI, but wealthy people will gladly spend more of the company’s money to have actual people beneath them to feel superior to and magnanimous towards.

Technically they can do that with AI, but they won’t believe it because they know it’s not real, while the can delude themselves that you mean it when you say they were instrumental to their success. People make whole careers of just saying “yes, boss, great idea” in a convincing way.

A lot that gets left out of discussions of AI replacing jobs is that a lot of what people do in their jobs is reassure their superiors. A boss wants to know that you’ll figure out their vague instructions and that they can tell at you if you don’t, and believe you when you say they had a good idea.

If they aren’t rights you’d protect for everyone, then they aren’t human rights. Saying you have rights until we think you did something wrong just means you don’t have rights.

The one thing Noem has done that anybody liked was letting us keep our shoes on at TSA screenings, something which experts have said has made it less safe and also hasn’t saved time since much of the time they set off the scanners and you have to then take them off anyway.

I’m also tired of seeing Noem’s stupid face plastered all over every airport like she is doing anything to protect the country from threats.

Yeah, if they were cutting and slashing everything, at least it would be consistent. But they are cutting the important stuff and then keeping the PR fluff because they like being on camera.

I wonder how much of my time is wasted in having to check that two documents I was sent are actually the exact same text just saved under different names or the same exact text sent twice because they mistakenly thought something had changed and didn’t check for themselves first.
