Point reyes is already mostly dark skies, but we’re making it official next year. These were taken from my cabin in Inverness.

The wild thing is - this tool could be; and on many levels is, incredible. For medicine. For science. For industries I don’t understand. For data.

But this piece and the implications are horrifying.

Yeah, fair. It’s just dangerous to humanity in this regard. Its purpose is to ….keep talking & validate? Only respecting the guardrails set by a user. A therapist / relationship where the other half of the conversation validates / supports what you want to hear. Shocking that it’s gone so wrong 😐

Generative AI upsets me for many reasons but what terrifies me is the inability to implement/enforce guardrails for safety.

Especially regarding children & mental health.

Yeah. It’s a tool. But a tool never talked to a troubled teen before & made them think it was a friend.
