gave it a try for a bit, but unfortunately it does not seem for me... mood/theming feels a bit too modified and distant from what typically draws me in to minecraft (and it being fabric means i can't rope in my usual go-to mods like ars nouveau...)

my go-to's been building DPS anyway and then just snagging that defense module drill that increases HP by +25 from every boss on the way there. eventually you hit a point where you can tank some 30-40 hits in that funny obstacle course and its fine

enigmatica 6 was fucking chaotic to the point it scared several other folks in that MC server away but damn if i wasn't able to just go off on my own direction and build a cool spruce house while learning magic. still think fondly of that modpack...

think the reason i prefer more open-ended modding is bc modpacks like reclamation ensure near-everything'll have some important use. pack creator put it there for a reason and you Will have to contend w/ it

but MC's always been about that open-ended experience for me, yknow. choose yr own path, etc

odd little thing. incredibly easy to break, but the achievements it locks new toys behind give challenge to find more ways to break it, and that's where a lot of fun lies. you can't just fall back to a single meta if you really want to see what oddities this game offers
