@nsbulk.bsky.social I just listened to your great interview on ToLiveandLetDieInLA. Do you recall if there were multiple takes of the Moonraker gunbarrel and which take was used? I have long wondered if the high trombone plays a wrong note in bar 2 and if it plays a different note on other takes.
Wonderful interview! I relate to once also having been a kid who preferred instrumental music who still hears the voice as an instrument rather than for the words.
It is rubbish! Men were frequently dressing up in blue shirts long before Bond and JFK. Before the 60s I suspect colour photography was used more for special occasions, when white shirts would have been worn. Light blue can also look white when blown out under harsh lighting used for photography.
Ploughing through this terrific book on Bond fashion and tailoring by @bondsuits.bsky.social and Peter Brooker and some of the detail about specific items worn by Bond are staggering.
