For designers, it’s a great way to get a deeper understanding of relationships between dB’s, APIs and how this can impact user experience but most importantly, it super-charges prototyping.
Once I started wiring up APIs, databases, and making things data-driven… I missed working with a good dev. Using Claude as your “CTO” helps a lot, plus ChatGPT for strategy.
AI’s good at scaffolding the basics but unsurprisingly needs more and more prompting/hand-holding as complexity increases.
Seeing a functional full-stack app take shape relatively quickly from prompts was really exciting, startups and internal R&D teams will flourish having these tools to validate quicker/fail fast etc.
Vibe coding is amazing. I’ve been using @bolt.new to see how far I can go with AI to build a full-stack app. No upfront UI design, just product strategy and UX to hack together climatesurvey.co.uk that gives house owners/hunters a view on property climate risks. My experience so far..
