While I've seen a lot of Mr Lynch's work, I've only just started Twin Peaks and MY GOD WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG?

I adore all the Remedy games and you can see just how much Alan Wake (and Max Payne) was inspired by Lynch.

After over a month of horrible pain, I've had my final wisdom tooth removed today aaaand I'm in horrible pain (because the anaesthetic has worn off). 😭

In the past month I have:

Bought a house and moved.
Had to do a LOT to make new house livable.
Spent over £1.5k on my car to fix it. Twice.
Had a 'surprise' cystoscopy (Google it).
Had a UTI from said cystoscopy.
Had a wisdom tooth crack open.

There's a LOT of external noise that comes in and the stairs that lead up to it are open. What's the best way to close things off and sound dampen things? I've looked into recarpeting with better underlay and acoustic plasterboard to attach to the existing walls, but any recommendations would be 👍🏻!
