It's amazing how many people don't understand that we don't have more leisure time because we use ever-increasing productivity for more stuff instead of less labor.

Also refutes fear mongering about tech killing jobs. We always come up with new jobs to absorb available labor.

Quietly, calmly and forensically, BBC just dismantled the Trump communications shitshow on Iran.

No hyperbole, just laying out an unprecedented military, diplomatic and reputational shambles.

Worth a watch.

Uh no...we definitely realize it.

Stunted Gravity has a Shockline Trial level in a 3D Mobius strip!

The track looks 4-sided, but it's actually one continuous side! Each lap runs on the next "side".

The goal: complete as many laps as possible while dodging the trail. By lap 5 the track is crowded and the challenge really picks up!

Yeah, it's an insta-block from me for accounts that blatantly lie about what people say like this.

This isn't just editing out pauses and filler words. It's making up new quotes that happen to use the same sentence fragments as the original source.

Stunted Gravity has a preliminary circuit selection menu.

Levels are grouped into circuits, each located on a different planet. Completing enough levels in a circuit unlocks the next circuit.

Remote Pluto is where you start your training, and Earth is home to the final, most challenging circuit!

I'm still fighting to rid Minneapolis of ICE, but getting back to working on Stunted Gravity. Wishlisting will help make my game a success: store.steampowered.com/app/4103290/...

Stunted Gravity original soundtrack Track 10!

Another techno remix, this time of my all time favorite classical piece Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement.

If this one doesn't get the blood pumping, nothing will!

I don't want Newsom either. However if he wins the primary, and it comes down to him vs., say, Vance, I'm gonna hold my nose and vote Newsom.

As a Chicagoan you have the luxury of voting 3rd party or abstaining because the Dem will win Illinois, but it's not a serious choice in swing states.

Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.

Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

Looks like the convention is in mid-April? Very good chance things have improved by then. ICE won't be surging here forever. I'd keep an eye on the news for reports of ICE and border patrol drawn downs.

How the Trump administration skirts β€” and defies β€” court rulings on ICE detentions A POLITICO review of hundreds of cases brought by ICE detainees shows a pattern of noncompliance that has frustrated judges across the country.

NEW: Federal judges are increasingly furious at what they see as a pattern / playbook of defiance by the Trump administration to court orders in immigration cases β€” in Minnesota and around the country.

Here’s a look at what they’re seeing: www.politico.com/news/2026/02...

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Not being able to recruit as effectively would lead to different risks. Fewer people receiving groceries, which could lead to those people leaving their homes and exposing themselves to greater risks.

Ultimately I think that the risks of visible scaling are smaller than being ultra-secure.

To be clear, I'm volunteering for this org, I'm not making these organizational decisions.

I was worried about it at first, but I think the minor risks are worth it, even if improvements could be made (and are made regularly, it moved to WhatsApp from plains texts).

They advertise on FB which is the only way to reach both the number of families that need services and get enough volunteers and donations.

The actual driving routes and dispatch are vetted and secure (WhatsApp rather than Signal, but same idea). However the operation itself is not secret.

I understand what you are saying in principle, and for small scale actions, but there are large scale orgs that can't possibly stay secret.

I'm volunteering for one such org with 100s of volunteer serving 1000s of families.

Excellent. Way to not let volunteer bureaucracy, petty jealousy, or other forms of infighting stop you from doing the right thing.

Alternatively, stay off of group comms and partner with co-pilots that are still part of the RR groups. They can't stop you from driving, and you probably know of several RR group members that would work with you. The chats just see the people doing the messages.

If you're effective and grow to a decent size other groups will have to coordinate. It's unfortunate but the decentralized organization basically devolves into a popularity contest, people will join the more populated groups.

You have a following Will. I think there's a decent chance that you could recruit some of your old group contacts (I assume you have some of these through DMs outside of the banned groups) and form your own response group.

I think you're right. The pic isn't very good but that lettering looks completely generic, anyone could slap that on the side of an otherwise unmarked white van.

This is one of my favorite charts because the obvious implication is ... obvious, but you absolutely are not allowed to say it out loud in US public discourse.

This is essentially what governments did in the late 1900s and early 2000s with respect to Nazis. Whether you were a lowly concentration camp guard or in Hitler's inner circle, if there was evidence you were a Nazi, it was straight to jail with your walker.

It worked.

Screenshot of a data visualization titled β€œThe Cost of American Exceptionalism,” subtitled β€œWhat would change if the U.S. matched the OECD average?” The page explains that each card shows how outcomes would change if the U.S. matched the average of 31 peer democracies. Below, a section labeled β€œEconomy & Inequality” displays eight cards comparing U.S. figures to OECD averages. Highlights include: +$19K per household per year in redistributed income and +$96K in redistributed wealth if the top 1% matched OECD shares; a 71% lower CEO-to-worker pay ratio (from 354Γ— to 101Γ—); 50 million more workers with union coverage; 26 million more people with health insurance; $2.1 trillion saved annually in healthcare spending; $691 less per person per year in prescription drug costs; and intergenerational economic mobility being twice as high. Each card shows the U.S. value alongside the OECD average.

If there's one empirical insight I'd want everyone to understand about American politics, it's this:

America's problems are solved problems. Just not here.

What would change if the US simply matched the average of 31 peer democracies? Not Denmark or Norway. Just the middle of the pack. 🧡

Honestly heartwarming to see you say this.

One of the worst feelings I get online is when I see people I follow and like, but who come from drastically different approaches, attacking each other.

I much prefer expressions of support and solidarity.

Everyone, if you've been wondering why I haven't made any Stunted Gravity posts recently, know that I'm a Minneapolis resident and my city is under attack.

In time I'm going to get back to it, finish it and publish a hopefully great game. But right now game dev isn't all that important.

Fuck ICE.
