What lens did you get, Paul?
A brown and white dog with a concerned look sits up straight and looks into the camera. On the floor next to them is an animal skin rug with matching coloring to theirs.
sometimes all it takes is a little subtle messaging to improve your petβs behavior
Great to see folk trying to seek sources for pictures.
Photo from the early 1970s of a man on horseback negotiating the Birmingham inner ring road at Holloway Head
Iβm searching for the original and/or rights owner of this fabulous picture of Birmingham in the early 1970s. It popped up on my Instagram feed, but Iβve been unable to track it down.
Any leads? Iβm really hoping to use it in a book.
(And would much appreciate a RT please)
I spend SO MUCH TIME in the first year, encouraging (urging?!) my students to forget what they learned at A-level. Radical action IS required, but absolutely not the radical action that is suggested here.

This appalling fat cat wants to shut the door on all my mature students, many of whom left school after GCSE and give up a lot to go to university. I can tell him that theyβre the hungriest for education and far from being unable to graduate, they regularly get the highest grades. Hateful man.
A little something to cheer up all those #Spurs fans tonight!
There a big transatlantic split on BlueSky.
On the US side itβs intense war stuff.
On the UK side itβs all βSpurs are going down, going down, going downβ¦.β
Has a manager ever been sacked at half-time? #LUFC #THFC
The Electric Monk was a labor-saving device, like a dishwasher or a video recorder. Dishwashers washed tedious dishes for you, thus saving you the bother of washing them yourself, video recorders watched tedious television for you, thus saving you the bother of looking at it yourself; Electric Monks believed things for you, thus saving you what was becoming an increasingly onerous task, that of believing all the things the world expected you to believe.
I'm thinking of a passage from Douglas Adams.

Just finished watching Man on the Run. Stunning footage, much new, that captures the time, great new insights from Paul, Linda, Denny and pals, even the piper from the Campbeltown Pipe Band. 5stars. Awesome film that justifies an Amazon Prime sub. Plus sheep a plenty. youtu.be/pBcllNrY0u8?...
You're getting schooled here, Jim lad!
Blossoms on a tree outside Moor Park London Underground station
Blossom
It's feeling a lot more like Spring today in London. I'm even going to brave hanging clothes on the washing line for the time this year. Here's a photo taken outside Moor Park London Underground station of the beautiful blossoms on the trees.
Cover for the Pink Floyd album 'Animals' showing a giant inflatable pink pig flying over Battersea Power Station
Apparently it's #NationalPigDay
For those in the UK that's around one and a half Aberfans.
B&W Cover of the Hanging Sheep, Leeds United Fanzine,"Where men are men and the Sheep are well aware of that" Picture of Howard Wilkinson in a raincoat with moon and stars. He says "I don't care if it is two in the morning, I want another 8 laps. Besides Ilkley Moor isn't that big.
3 beer pumps - the right-hand one is a tribute to former Leeds manager Howard Wilkinson called 'Wilko 92'. His picture is on the pump badge.
Not the result we wanted, but a good performance against a team of habitual cheats, whose bench probaly costs twice as much our squad, and the referee who acted as their accomplice. Enjoyed an excellent refreshing pint of Wilko ale in the Peacock before the game. #LUFC

Which one is it John?
Very interesting article and the photographs are a great reminder of what this period was like. I wasn't aware of the work of Phyllis Nicklin but a quick search found some more of her work on Flickr www.flickr.com/photos/futur... (CC BY NC Licence)
Take two seven year olds in a primary school in the Prime Ministerβs constituency.
His Dad is a banker
Her Mum is the cleaner at that bank

It does feel like Starmer and Mahmoud have seen Labour rejected by its own *actual* core vote (instead of its imagined one) in its heartland and decided that the answer is just to reject those core voters right back.
Suicidal politics.
It's going to be an uphill struggle.

My current favourite is The International
I tend to avoid the Vindaloo, go for flavour - but nicely hot and spicy. Not sure where you live but Bradford is the place for authentic curries with exceptional value. Most still include rice/naan/3 chappties in the price.
Nah! Just some teams from this season's 'The Apprentice'. And, just as entitled, dim-witted and useless!
