Art of characters for Jae Koyanagi's book. About the "sapient alien species" that lives on the same planet as the creature I posted earlier today.. it's the Nan-Te'gah. The most prominent feature they have in common are the head appendages.

A drawing of a creature known as a hoori-doori-din-rin. It is a bipedal creature with no proper forelimbs and a round head with giant, orange eyes. The left image presents a bald version of the creature. Its skin is off-white and pinkish and there is a set of eight tiny, featherless wing-like limbs. Much like the chuckme and the chidderin, they are named after the unusual call they make. They are arguably the court jesters of the world of magical creatures with their painfully unserious behaviour and absurd albeit elaborate dances.
