<- the ambulance suddenly arrived, followed by a second police car, okay, damn. Then a couple minutes later they dragged someone out of my train and put them on the platform and treated them and then a police officer came and told me I could continue. No idea what all this was about.
<- have a „missing person“ inside my train, would only take one or two minutes. Then they disappeared inside my train, nobody came out and nothing happened for five minutes, I made an announcement, then 10 minutes had passed, still nobody to see, then I suddenly heard sirens and ->
Oh well, didn’t take that long in the end, I don’t even know what happened back there. When I arrived in Appenweier I saw a police car racing towards me to the platform, two police officers instantly got out of the car and rushed towards my train, one told me to wait, I would ->
Big shit happening in my train right now…
And my first service after 3 weeks of vacation brings me to where I was on my last day before my vacation, to Hornberg :3
And here I am, doing my day of refreshment training on the new international trains, that are already waiting for 3 years to finally go international… And of course only while standing, no driving allowed for us here. Very exciting 🥱😴
It’s not about the Régiolis going up to 200, it’s about incoming trains like ICE trains that cross with 200 +
That’s why we are not allowed and able to drive them in Germany today, my refreshment training for tomorrow with them is therefore cancelled completely and yeah today we only do some refreshment in Strasbourg with the standing train, no driving.
I got new news about the Régiolis trains. Apparently the authorization for Germany the trains got in January this year has been taken back by the German authorities due to new technical problems with the German train protection and problems when meeting other trains at high speed ( 200 km/h + )
Now they want us to take the bus replacement service from Offenburg to Kehl and the train or tram from Kehl to Strasbourg on both days to do some "refreshing" on the Régiolis, so no driving at all, just doing stuff on the train while standing. I'm not even back from vacation and already pissed x.x
So the original plan for me was to actually finally drive the new Régiolis trains in Germany without passengers for training on Monday and Tuesday. Welp, it got cancelled. Due to overhead wire works between Kork and Kehl which also last on Monday and Tuesday. 🙄
And this were the best talons I have ever seen hehe, perfect to cover and censor faces hehehe

Long time no post from me. Well, I’m on vacation hehe. Just returned from Sweden, NordicFuzzCon surely was a blast again, what an amazing week of great friends, people, fun and food. Next week back to work, driving Régiolis in Germany for the very first time, cross border, without passengers 👀
Sitting around in school in Strasbourg, doing language training for the new trains that are supposed to start operating at May 4. Learning new technical vocabulary and improving and updating existing language skills. Tomorrow another day in school and then 3 weeks of vacation ~
And got my train from a five minute delay down to a two minute early arrival hrhr
Hornberg, it’s been quite a while since I’ve been here. My route knowledge for this route almost expired, so I had to drive here today. This was also my last train ride for the next three and a half weeks. The next two days I got language training in Strasbourg and then vacation ~
Chaos today… I’m driving Offenburg - Strasbourg today, or well, I’m trying. Yet I only made it from Offenburg to Strasbourg once and yet never back to Offenburg. Line closure because of obstacles on the tracks between Kehl and Strasbourg first and then a police intervention in Kehl.
Goodnight train, see you later ~ I have the short hotel stay shift again. Been catching up delay, already got the train late from a colleague from a previous ride, caught up all of the delay until Schiltach, then the late oncoming train delayed me again 😩
Oh well, one of the engines just failed again 🫠 3 of 4 left, if one more fails it’s game over again. Let’s hope for the best 🤞🏻
And I’m in Strasbourg today :3 This morning technicians from the workshop came and repaired the broken old diesel train, now it works almost flawlessly again. So I can do my service normally today and actually cross the border ~
Chilling in Kehl ~ Was supposed to drive Offenburg - Strasbourg today, but due to two engine failures on the old diesel train, we had to replace it with one of the electric Mireo trains. These are not allowed to drive in France though, so all my trains end here at the border today here in Kehl.
Who would have guessed… Today I was informed about another delay for the start of the new trains on the Offenburg - Strasbourg line… New estimated start of the new trains is now the 4th of May 2026, so about one and a half months more to wait… At least they have a date now.
First day of work after two days off, not starting well with this train 😵💫 Colleagues who prepared it for me had technical problems coupling the trains, they were still trying when I arrived for departure… I found the issue and then it finally worked. But the delay was too high to complete the ride..
My point of view today, not on the driver’s seat. Didn’t have a trainee with me who is supposed to drive since summer ^^ Oh well but the trainee is doing good 👍🏻
And also got some vandalism, yay…
I can’t believe it, DB just delayed my super on time train by 10 minutes and made plenty of passengers miss their connecting trains because… A heavy road transport had to cross a level crossing ahead of me, so I had to wait 10 minutes in Kork for it to pass, unbelievable…
