Oh, nice. I tend to lean toward aeropress or V60. Still haven’t learned to really enjoy espresso.

Court of Death was designed to be playable on a small area. Proof from today’s train ride.
Let me know if there are any specifics you are more interested in.
I had to pay around $100 for four decks, all in all.
Sure! I designed the cards in Affinity Studio, in regular poker card size, and then found a local printer that had some experience in printing card games. I got the cards about a week later.
In Affinity I created templates for each type of card, so that it’s easy to replace the content that change.

Finally, there’s me. I handle the game design, card layout, project management, and all that fun stuff. I’ve developed a few TTRPGs and board games in the past and am currently studying video game development. Court of Death is my first foray into card games.
Elin Lindberg created all the gorgeous artwork for the game. She is currently studying game development with a focus on 2D and 3D graphics.
Julia Olsson Grunnan is the latest addition to the team. Julia is responsible for taking our foundational worldbuilding and fleshing it out into a rich setting. When she isn't crafting the world of Court of Death, she teaches worldbuilding, narrative design, and creative writing.
Court of Death has made significant progress since its inception in late December. Not only do we now have properly illustrated and formatted cards for playtesting, but we have also expanded from a one-man show into a small team. Let’s introduce the crew!

The first batch of test-prints are here! Looking forward to do some more serious play-testing now that I don’t have to use a regular deck of cards or a printed version.
A very early digital version might be in the works as well… 🙄

I read "giggling" every time I scroll past this post, and have to read again to check if I read it right..
At some point, "need" stops feeling like a real word...
I started a small weekend project while the last of the flu disappears. Let me introduce the first prototype of my Desktop Tamagotchi. It can be hungry, sleepy, needy and bored. But right now sleep is all it can do. Planning to add feeding, petting and some playing as well.

We have our very first hat physics test!

Such a great game! Check it out!
Someone using an Agent rarely needs to book meetings or set alarms themselves, the Agent learns to handle mundane tasks based on the person's conscious and unconscious thoughts and behavior patterns.
Notes from my role-playing game Novum Solari (not published).
Agents are a combination of calendar, phone, computer, personal planner, identification, and more — with direct access to the Internet. Unlike early 2000s computers, they *take initiative*.
Spent some time yesterday getting OpenClaw up and running. This is what AI should be. Locally run, privacy focused, an agent to help with everyday tasks and help me keep declutter my mind. Interesting enough, this is what I had in mind a couple of years ago, before LLMs were a thing.

Another progress shot of the school project, working title Gnome Home. First look of the protagonist, the gårdstomte Kotte.

First screenshot of our next school project. This one is about a gnome that restores an old Swedish house in the early 1900s, while befriending and helping the animals living in the area. The frog in the image is a stand-in for the player for now. He will be an NPC in the game.

Five jobs I’ve had:

3. Podcast producer
4. TTRPG author/publisher
5. Student union vice-president
Godot or Pico-8 probably. Let me know if you have any questions about either of them. I’ve used Godot a lot, and Pico-8 at least a bit. Aseprite for creating the actual pixel art
I designed the game with the aim to be playable on an area as small as a table on the train. Today I can happily report that this specific design goal has been proven to be a success!
Playing a round of Court of Death. Got my ass kicked in the third battle…
I’ve recently started collaborating with an illustrator, and I’m now considering a Kickstarter campaign to fund printing and distribution.
Long-term, my goal is for Court of Death to become a trilogy set in the same world, each game exploring a different perspective and with its own game mode.
Over the course of the game, you fight through four progressively more difficult battles, building and refining your deck with stronger weapons, elixirs, wards, and, if you’re lucky, a legendary artifact or two.
I’m currently working on Court of Death, a solo card game and deckbuilder I’ve been developing over the holidays.
You play as a monster hunter descending into a cursed court ruled by four ancient vampire bloodlines.
