I guess I'm about the same age as you Andrew, or a bit older. I was lucky to get the first Starlin issue of Warlock / Strange Tales when it came out, and raised catholic I knew exactly where Jim was coming from. Those two annuals that end the story were like gold if you could get them at the time :)

100%. The early Thomas / Freidrich / everybody stuff is an interesting mess. The Starlin stuff is him working out his religious & industry issues in mind-blowing ways, similiar but different to what McGregor was doing in Killraven & Black Panther at the time. Intensely personal but accessible

Fin yeah, that's great though. I think that might've been the tour where they cancelled in my town 'cos Bruce got ill, but Steve Harris & Nicko showed up anyway and drank with the fans for a bit, so disappointed, but that was cool of them.

Definitely one of their best, and Pete Way was so cool. Waysted as well, when they started, were great.
