Well, curling up with a good book is always the best, but I really like cross country skiing. It can be either fast or slow paced depending how you feel that day, and you're usually somewhere with breathtaking views.
You're welcome. Leading up to my daughter leaving for university, I focused on what all got out of it. She got to go off and have this amazing experience living on campus and having fun and we got more freedom to travel without the constraints of a school and sport schedule.
I'm a recent empty nester too. Of course you miss them like crazy, but it's nice to also have a bit of your before kids freedom back.
