It's true, but I find it really funny that SpongeBob was the first example that came to his mind.

Oni is very unique. It has one of the best melee combat systems, and a very early 00s "western anime" art style.

Save 10% on Arksync on Steam
Wired from the ashes of twin stick Shooters, Arksync evolves the genre with breakneck player movement and combat. Survive and buy weapons, utilities, and upgrades; then risk it all as you fight to sur...
Okay, Arksync is legit. A very particular old-school, uncompromising breed of platform shooter. Captures the spirit of Abuse (remember that one, oldheads?) better than any I can think of off the top of my head.
It launched yesterday after a couple years in early access.

I like Godot, but sometimes it does something weird and I wonder if I should try using one of the idTech engines again.

I like how it feels like a game actually made during the PS1-era, instead of paying homage to a specific series. I can't wait for the sequel/spin-off.

I finished my entry for the David Lynch jam! Last day before the deadline, too.
It's not much of a game, but I think I ended up with something cool. You can play it online now:

how to handle stairs - Learn Godot 4 3D - no talking
YouTube video by DevDrache
I spent all day trying different solutions for getting the player to walk up steps and none of them worked. Then I found this video, with a really simple solution that seems to work quite well for me.
There are problems with slopes, but I'm sure I can fix that easily.
