We like to think of every day as Women’s Day or #WomensHistoryMonth but will gladly take any reason to celebrate our strength and honour the ladies who’ve shaken up our planet for the better.

When we turn the clocks ahead on March 8th, it will be the last time change ever for #BC!
#DaylightSavingTime will become permanent, and it aligns us with the Yukon, which stopped changing its clocks in 2020.
This change is better for our health, our routines, and gives us an extra hour of dayl

#TBT In #2S/LGBTQIA+ history, we highlight a pioneer of #lesbian literature, Jeanne Galzy (1883-1977) who gave queer stories a voice. She was a long-time member of the jury for the Prix Femina & won the Prix Brentano literary award for her (somewhat biographical) novel "Burnt Offering".

Many #2S/LGBTQIA+ #seniors face the difficult decision of hiding their identities and ‘going back into the closet’ due to fear of being stigmatized or discriminated against by staff and other residents.
