My girlfriend just made me jump out of my skin because she said "look at the time!" because the clock said quarter-past 12 and we had to be at a friend's birthday at 1pm. It was daylight savings last night, I've been played it's only 11 o'clock.

I really like the system we have here in Australia. Voting is mandatory AND we have ranked-choice voting, so people completely uninterested in politics are forced to keep their suffrage and might end up voting anyway, and more parties mean less people feeling like there's no good choices.

Not everyone who watches can vote. I watched just as it broke the previous US filibuster record but can't vote because I'm not an American.

I got #mastodon recently. I've been enjoying exploring what's different and what's the same as BlueSky.

I had some choice paralysis deciding between the different servers, but settled on the default mastodon.social.

Where is the ALP's plan for nuclear? The LNP nuclear plan might be horrible, but it astounds me that the Greens and Labor are seemingly anti-nuclear, not just anti this specific implementation.

Don't be like Germany's Green party and worsen climate change and energy prices out of fear for nuclear.

I think it'd be cool if big platforms like YouTube had some way that you could set up an ATprotocol account linked to your url on that platform. I imagine the decentralised nature of such platforms would make it hard, but it could reduce the need for 'THIS is me, THAT is a scam account' PSAs.
