If this is helpful, I was reminded when i heard "Symptom of Being Human" by Shinedown. Similar tone, but this song i am trying to remember was a little faster tempo. Also the band and/or the album may have been called Freakshow.

Alright #musicsky , i am trying to think of an indie band/album from around 1998, that i reviewed as a college DJ at WUPXfm. All i remember is it was pretty theatrical rock, and one song had a chorus that went "Right this way, RIGHT this way... Freakshow!"
