I skateboarded in the driveway after work on a warm and sunny Monday. As always, it was too windy. It wasn't happening and every trick was a chore. Eventually I managed a few noseslides, railslides, and tailslides. I saw about a dozen red-winged blackbirds and four wayward windblown seagulls.

There's a dude with a Dodge Charger that backfires loudly every time he revs it up on West 3rd Street. Can't wait till he's back on the road.

That he didn't play was the only reason Brooklyn won. Somehow the Heat keep on winning. I didn't realize the LAL/NY game was on. Today has been weird. I'm off schedule or out of sync, like the clocks changed or something.

I was unsure about skateboarding for Sunday. I thought about going to an indoor park until the clock change caught up with me. I did an assortment of boardslides, 50-50s, and tailslides in the driveway. It counted. I saw three grackles, a mourning dove, and a red-bellied woodpecker in the yard.

Is Cade Cunningham out? As an utterly apathetic Laker fan, I'm not fond of the Pistons, but I'm OK with Detroit getting some wins these days. Obviously as a Knicks fan, they are a major thorn in your side.

Detroit is in a state of shock after the Nets rallied to beat them last night.

Saturday was hot and windy. I did some driveway skateboarding in the afternoon. I was good for a few frontside boardslides, noseslides, and a 43 before it rained. I was tired so this was just right. I saw what were probably the same six red-winged blackbirds as Friday. A turkey vulture drifted by.

It was warm for Friday. I skateboarded in the driveway after work. I did a bunch of noseslides and frontside 50-50s. Things weren't clicking at all so it was a bit of a bummer on a nice weather day. There were six red-wing blackbirds and a robin in the yard. A flock of 15 Canadian geese flew over.

We have a ton of them around during the summer. They are beginning to return to the area now. Red wings are loud birds and the first one I saw last week was somehow even louder.

I skateboarded in the driveway on Wednesday after work. Tuesday was rained out. I did a couple flat bar boardslides, noseslides, 50-50s, and jump ramp ollies. Things felt sharper than on Monday. I think I saw a red-winged blackbird. Two cardinals were in the yard & a flock of Canadian geese flew by.

To this day whenever somebody says Depeche Mode, my mind automatically follows it up with sucks. I'm OK with the band, but that association is cemented in place.

Maybe not everyone has had their mind expanded by that 35+ year old "Doors Fan" Kids In The Hall skit where the surly record store clerk explains that just as the gypsies had no home, The Doors had no bass.

It was great seeing everybody together again. I miss you guys.

Monday was cold for driveway skateboarding after work. Nothing felt good. I landed some boardslides, 50-50s, jump ramp ollies, and tailslides. It's probably time for a new board and wheels, but what I'm riding doesn't feel that old. Three cardinals and a downy woodpecker were around the yard.

There was a 1/2" of snow for Sunday that evaporated by midday. It was cold with bright sun. I skateboarded in the driveway. I didn't have the energy for an indoor park. I did some boardslides, jump ramp ollies & 50-50s. There was a white-breasted nuthatch & two red-bellied woodpeckers in the yard.

I skateboarded in the driveway on Saturday afternoon. It was sunny and mild. I rolled for a long time, but was too tired to get much out of it. I did some 50-50s, boardslides, and a 43. There were three red-winged blackbirds and two downy woodpeckers in the yard.

Friday was up near 50˚ F so driveway skateboarding after work was comfortable. I did some boardslides on the flat bar, a couple 50-50s, and tailslides. Nothing was clicking. I was happy to be outside in nice weather. There was a loud red-winged blackbird in the yard. 30+ Canadian geese flew over.

It was still cold on Thursday for driveway skateboarding. The later sunsets mean less rushing after work. My board froze so the tricks got tricky. I did some noseslides, boardslides, and 50-50s. I saw a cardinal. There was a robin somewhere around the yard, but I only heard it.

Wednesday was ten degrees warmer than Tuesday, but it sure didn't feel that way. Driveway skateboarding after work was a task until I got my head in the game. I managed a bunch of frontside 50-50s and jump ramp ollies. I saw a cardinal and five Canadian geese flew by.

I skateboarded in the driveway after work on Tuesday. It was cold. I had to avoid a damp icy spot. I did some noseslides, ride-on grinds, boardslides, and jump ramp ollies. Things felt OK once I was warmed up. There were two downy woodpeckers in the backyard.

That's neat. They had some cool graphics and team. Based on the exit interview the owner gave, I figured he'd probably do a new board project at some point down the road.

Interesting. I thought it looked like a Scumco, but I thought they had closed up shop.

Same. It hasn't been terrible and there have been some breaks, but, yeah, snow since November.

Thursday was mild for driveway skateboarding. I did some boardslides, ride-on grinds, tailslides, frontside 50-50s, and jump ramp ollies. The weather ahead looks dicey so I was glad to roll, even if I was tired. Noseslides were a chore. I maybe need new wheels. Two robins were in the yard.

Skateboarding in the driveway happened after work on Tuesday. I did better than Monday, which isn't saying much. It was in the mid 40s so being outside simply felt nice. I landed a few noseslides, tailslides, and 50-50s. A flock of 30 Canadian geese and one giant crow flew over.

I skateboarded in the driveway after work on Monday. I was tired from the weekend and couldn't get any tricks to click. It was frustrating since I don't do anything particularly difficult and can usually put together enough to make it count. There was a lone cardinal at the feeder at dusk.

Sunday was sunny and mild. I skateboarded in the driveway all afternoon. I didn't have energy for that, but I tried since it was nice outside. I did two boardslides on the flat bar, noseslides, tailslides, like one 50-50, and a 43. I saw two tufted titmice, a downy woodpecker, and three crows.

Saturday I went to Jamestown. I scored a deal on new sheets at the mall & skateboarded at JSP. I was beat & didn’t land crap. It was still a good trip. I skated the driveway when I got home b/c it was sunny. I didn’t land crap there either. I saw 20 turkeys on the drive & a red-bellied woodpecker.
