I've already answered on the egomaniac's app, but it's part of the spec for the WJEC A level. I find it helps with buffer calculations, but I'm not a fan. Same as I have an aversion to the Hardy-Weinberg equation in Biol. Don't ask me why, it just bugs me! ๐

Bond enthalpies: the difference between energy in and energy out, so Reactants - Products.
Enthalpy change of a reaction = Products - Reactants.
Enthalpy change of formation = Products - Reactants
Enthalpy change of combustion = Reactants - products
