Is the KVM USB 3 or Thunderbolt? I worry that Apple's wording is very specific here and maybe there is Thunderbolt support, but *not* DisplayPort over USB support?

You just have to go into System Settings, click "Displays" on the left side, then click the monitor and make sure it's set to "Extended Display" instead of "Mirror for..."

It’s weird, because I feel like I’m doing a similar thing— Plenty of people (including me) use something like my CalDigit TS3 Plus Thunderbolt dock to plug one cable to their Macthat supplies power to their Mac, but expands out to my 4K over DisplayPort, Ethernet, and more Thunderbolt and USB ports
Ohhh, fascinating! I don’t know my stuff well enough, but DisplayPort protocol is supposed to be able to run over Thunderbolt 3, as well as some later version of USB 3, right? 🤔 hmm
It *should* work, so I'm puzzled— What chip (M1 Max, M3 Pro, etc) do you have? What adapter?
