Nine commonsense bills passed by the Legislature remain stalled because Speaker Hall refuses to follow the Constitution.
I joined an amicus brief filed this week in support of the Senate’s lawsuit because democracy and the rule of law still matter.
YDM stands with our friends in Minnesota and all affected by the horrific, politically motivated assassinations of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark. We also send our support to State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, as they recover from their injuries.

Our next Young Democrats of Michigan Chair needs to be someone who’ll go the distance — traveling across the state and organizing on the ground.
That’s been my commitment, and it’s what I’ll continue to do.
I have grave concerns regarding many of the proposed actions President Trump, and those who have been nominated to serve in his administration, have publicly promoted.
When Republicans inevitably fail to deliver on their promises over the next few years, Democrats need to be ready—not with cookie cutter talking points, but with real solutions.
