While we were arguing about whether this is 1932 or 1933, it very quickly turned into 1935.

@sethcotlar.bsky.social can you help?
This is a great group! Thanks @socialstudiestx.bsky.social for being such a good leader!!
Perfection.
Do you have any idea how badly you have to fuck up a website to get a band that relies on social media to sell tickets to our little shows and stuff to nuke an account where we had 160k followers
Kimchi Jjigae, Matzo Ball Soup, yum!
That it is. It has fundamentally changed the nature of teaching how to research. My major project this year for grade 11 will need to be as much about sourcing as it is about content.
So much in this debate ends up being about cost. My school no longer buys access to databases of scholarly (or even encyclopedia) sources or newspapers. Students (and everyone else) donβt want to βspendβ time on hard research and corroboration. AI is free and fast. (Even if often wrong).
How fun was that game to watch? #celtics
These folks had so much thst I just had to link the site and go back later! Can't wait to add more of their great ideas to my classes and to your discussion on #sschat! easc.osu.edu/ncss-2024-pr...

What a moving and inspiring talk. I was lucky to be there! Contextualizing the role of education over the course of US history βenlightenedβ me . Iβm thankful for the big picture and the hope you have for changing media.
Literally assigning some academic Haiti readings next week for my APWH class "Harkness". I may pair some of these articles and have students run multiple discussions about Toussaint era, Dessaline to Christophe, and US reactions. THANKS!
would love to be added!
What a pleasure to meet the whole gang! Excited to see you all present tomorrow!
Modern world history but started my career as a high school English teacher. Welcome!
An honor -- thank YOU for all the sharing you do!
