How many more people who don’t have the ability to get their stories to the media have had their access to work made harder or impossible?

Disabled journalist has DWP Access to Work support slashed Journalist Emily Davison, who is legally blind, has had her DWP Access to Work support slashed by 80%. She fears she could be forced to leave work

I'm hearing more and more stories like this one in The Big Issue - it really does seem like Access to Work is being cut by stealth @bigissue.com

Today I virtually lead a 2 hour session for AHRC DTP students on disability in higher education at their annual EDI conference. They put together a manifesto that focused on community, advocacy, disability gain and supervision. It was super lovely and engaging and really great space to hangout in.

This is thought-provoking - talks about how openness in arts, hums and soc sci should be viewed as occurring 'in practices like experimental publishing, participatory research methods, and public scholarship', i.e. not just about OA publication or data.
