It feels like now is the time for stronger statements and bigger warnings. Trump is responsible for the deaths of a great many people at this point, both in other countries and our own. He can't be legally stopped without Congress wanting to stop him. So, what do we do at this point?
Trump will do what ever he wants since SCOTUS has said he can. He's admitted that he is the only person who can stop him. Yet Congress, the news media & too many other experts in the field of law haven't recognized that he doesn't care about laws.Why tell us what he can't do when he'll do it anyway?
Sixty years ago, the Supreme Court upheld the Voting Rights Act to protect Americans of all races, ethnicities, and language backgrounds from discriminatory election rules. Even if todayβs justices refuse to do the same, we must continue the fight to protect the vote.

I'm a big fan of the Brennan Center! In your most recent newsletter you mention that the president does not have the power to cancel elections. But, as I'm sure you're aware, Trump just does things whether he is allowed to or not. How can we stop him from cancelling elections? You know he will.
I would never vote for him but I'd be ok with him winning because he's not wrong!

Maybe if you're Vulcan, but we humans are deeply emotional beings. We make all kinds of bad decisions based on our emotions. Tactics are absolutely informed by emotions. You think Trump was all logic when he sent the DOJ after Comey for ig'ing beach pic?
You have a right to your opinion. I disagree with it. But ultimately not trying to shame him and others seems like a big mistake to me. Especially since the system is broken while Republicans have the majority. I hope Trump won't cancel the midterms but that assumption feels like a mistake, too.

He has all those things going on, but they're all there because of a single motivation: he hates himself and desperately needs endless reinforcement that he is the best of the best.

I don't see how a concern for negative publicity is different from feeling shame.
Honestly, I don't get why people think that somehow everyone in Congress and in Trump 2.0 don't feel shame. And therefore we should not try to shame them.
Trump only ran because Obama shamed him in public.

I remember hearing about how gas stoves were bad for us back during the pandemic. Why does our government hate us so much? Long before Trump they'd ignore science which means they're ok with us getting sick and dying before we would if they actually did what they were supposed to do. #USAcorruption
