Thank you for moderating! Loved the #Wicked theme! #MSChat
A4: I try to point out students who are doing the right thing, even when their peers arenβt. Even though it is cheesy, it works. #MSChat
A3: This is actually one of my CS standards, as there are many issues of bias with technology. In a 6th grade unit on AI and ethics, we are talking about how some tools are biased because of their datasets. Students reflect on this and recommend improvements to their own datasets. #MSChat
This is so important! Manners matter! #mschat
A2 I try to provide opportunities for groupings outside of their friend groups. Itβs sometimes outside of their comfort zone but itβs cool to see new budding friendships emerge as they interact with each other over a shared task. #MSChat
A1: Giving students creative freedom to express themselves with computer science. Middle schoolers also bring their own sort of magic- my days are never boring and are full of surprises. #MSChat
Gwen, 6-8th grade computer science and career teacher from WY. Team #Glinda, although I do admire Elpaba! #MSChat
Just three days until #MSChat dances across @bsky.app ! I'm excited to talk Middle School topics with all the great educators on this platform! Who is in? #edusky @middleweb.bsky.social @msginjen.bsky.social @gcran456.bsky.social @dustin772.bsky.social
A2: I use time limits on social media. The search feature in Facebook groups has helped me target useful information. Following pinned hashtags on Bluesky has been great- I will rarely engage with discover feeds on any social media- it is too much of a time-suck. #EduSkyChat
A1 I set time limits on social media and connect to online PLNs when my general feelings about school arenβt completely overwhelming. Sometimes online PLNs can be uplifting, though! Just have to check in with myself before engaging. #EduSkyChat
I love this model for rubric creation. Gonna give it a try as I develop assessments in the upcoming semester.

This is helpful! We were completely stumped.
A1: A cup of tea after a wild day. Our break hasnβt started yet and as a result weβre in for a short but wild ride this week. #tlap
Middle school computer science teacher here! Looking forward to joining the #EduSky conversation! #CompSci #CSEd #CSTA
