I'm going to leave this conversation here as we are getting nowhere. There is no opportunity for debate here. Therefore, it is a waste of time for us both. We can simply agree to disagree.

You have perfectly illustrated my point by implying that if, as a woman, I am not polite to a man who is Hell bent on undermining everything I say that I will somehow lose the chance to see a Matriarchy. A ridiculous & empty, threat which implies that the power lies with men to allow it or not.

If you have a problem with my post you can ignore it and simply get on with your day instead of going on such a tirade trying to discredit it.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make other than that you want to be right?! As a woman I am entitled to have whatever opinion based on my own experience. The experiences of women around the world are not fraud simply because you do not agree with them.

We do not have a matriarchal society in any country in the world currently. There are some in small indigenous groups, but that is it. I am sure you are not suggesting that because some women in some areas are autonomous, that it erases the fact that most women in the world have no autonomy.

I'd say that is pretty compelling evidence that men are afraid of women taking over the dominant power of our society. Otherwise, we would not have had a patriarchal society for as long as we have.

..then neither of us can state categorically whether something is a "true fact" or not. It is a generalization as well as a safe assumption based on the fact that our society has been a patriarchy for approx. 5000-12000 years, which lead to increased restrictions on women's autonomy...

You are entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to my opinion. We could sit here all day and argue what is or is not a "true fact" unless we each have access to a poll of all of the men in the world asking them if they fear a matriarchy or not and then base it on the majority answer..

A Matriachy would be where women predominantly hold the power around the world in all industries and countries in the same way that men currently do, and that is a very different thing.

New Zealand and other countries that have female prime ministers are definitely ahead of the curve. However, we live in a patriarchal society, not a Matriachal one, and a few females in government here and there does not make a Matriachy.
