About BPD and OSDD…

DBT is the go-to therapy for pwBPD, but for people with high level dissociation like OSDD, I don't think it's the best approach. In that case, dealing with the underlying trauma seems more effective…

It is well known in the field of structural dissociation that the level of dissociation varies widely in people with BPD, and includes tertiary dissociation (like OSDD).

However, many people indeed seem to be unaware of this - including psychologists/therapists… More awareness definitely important!

Goes to show BPD induced/influenced systems are valid, but not well researched enough

Did you know that clinically, BPD and OSDD have been misdiagnosed numerous times because both have similar dissociation levels? They are on the same level of dissociation and have altered states of mind so much that therapists sometimes simply cannot distinguish - Info from our own therapist

an introject (in a plural system) is an alter that is, for lack of a better term, based around an outside source. they share memories with their source (yet often altered from reality/source canon).

being an fictive is not a choice in most cases and therefore should not be judged, whether they form that way from trauma or even choose their shape later on is not anyone's business. The how or why is nobody's concern. Hating someone solely for a source is ridiculous and petty
