in general i try not to hide my instruments and keep them in a place where i can see them so its easier for my brain to think about practicing but there's no shame in not playing for some time!! ive gone through periods where i just don't touch my guitar, it happens , im no tutor by any means but

this might sound REALLY silly and i might be the only person this tip rlly applies to, but keeping your guitar near a place your not bound to forget where it is (in my case i usually leave mine right next to my bed!) has helped my motivation a ton just because it's a reminder for me to practice :)
