The next panel abruptly shows piplup has turned into the digimon Penmon, blushing with eyes gleaming, the background pink with shoujo sparkles and bubble and a new label indicating that it’s a pokemon and digimon fan now
This won't be true in every case, Digimon and Pokemon are unique from each other
However, if you like monster taming games, I believe there's a good chance you'll love Digimon Story Time Stranger! Maybe give the demo a try, the save can carry over to the full game if you get it!

Update, but don't completely change. I'm aware of the existence of 'Next Order' & while it has its own charm and I enjoy it, nothing beats it's predecessor for me. There are similarities and I appreciate that. But I love the original's pathing, gameplay and story
