Perhaps if you reframe it so the one receiving what you ‘give’ is yourself? There will be others who appreciate it but I find it helps me to start there. What am I finding that I need to do today? Also I believe it is the best way to create value others will see - making something ONLY you can.

and the product of art, what results, should NEVER be a brake on the process, on the doing.

The way I see it is there's never too much art and therefore it is never not needed. The DOING of the art (whatever form) is the thing, is the expression of being a human. It's when we think of the produce that results that it gets tricky - and it does have to be thought about, but not existantially

Maybe it's true in that the someone is you first and everyone else by extension. It's an expression of being human to make art, to decorate, to love food, to write. Being a human is necessary.

Whether units get shifted and money changes hands is a different equation.
