Thankfully after touching $118 WTI has since fallen back into the $90-100 range but that's still at minimum $30 above the pre-invasion level and there's not sign of a price collapse yet. While WTI has been the highest, basically almost all oil has seen similar price charting as far as % & trending.
Southern Ontario is north of the surface warm front so much cooler conditions but a fair bit of CAPE aloft and the NAM is painting some good echo tops on the simulated IR satellite product. So rain and thunderstorms Wednesday morning / early afternoon #ONstorm
Still a ways out but the NAM is really painting a heck of a March setup along the south shore of Lake Erie with some wicked dynamics into E. OH / W. PA - sig wind damage risk and an elevated tornado risk, potentially a sig tor risk if things don't line out as fast #OHwx #PAwx

Line of storm moving into Southern Ontario. These storms could produce severe weather in the form of hail, but they are elevated (not sucking up air from the surface) so anything related to wind or tornadoes is very unlikely.

This storm went very tornadic right as it hit the surface warm front where there was substantial shear in the lowest 1km (veering from a SW to SE to E flow).
The storm has since crossed into the cold air north of the front.

Quite the temperature contrast across between Southwestern Ontario and area to the south of the lakes. There's 22C air abutted against the south shore of Lake Erie. This warm air will EVENTUALLY make it into Srn Ontario overnight but will be a few degrees cooler thanks to marine moderation. #ONstorm
When they cross into Ontario tonight, they'll be on the nose of the warm jet. Surface temperatures will be far too cold to support surface based storms.
The Union City MI tornado was right on the warm front (20C) where it was veering from SW to SE to E. Storm now into 12C air north and fading.
Risk of thunderstorms later today across much of Southern Ontario. There's currently a cluster in lower Michigan and that convective zone will move east as the day continues. The storms will be very elevated, nothing surface based at all.

Ice pellets show high reflectivity because they are coated in a thin layer of liquid water as they melt or fall through humid air. Since water is much more reflective than ice, this "wet" coating makes the radar perceive them as much larger, highly reflective targets. Today we saw +60 db returns.
Temperatures are expected to remain around the freezing mark most of the day across the GHTA / South-central Ontario today before dipping tomorrow (Thursday) and then bouncing above freezing Friday.
