Quad box for me today:
Noon: Illinois at Duke, Iowa at Iowa State, Baylor at SMU, Virginia at NC State (in a non-ACC ACC game).
330: OSU game, Kansas at Mizzou, OK State at Oregon, Ole Miss at UK
730: ASU at Miss St, UM at OU, BC at MSU, Vandy at VT
Week 1 was for the casuals. Week 2 is for the truly devout. Big slate of college football today. LFG.
This is devastating. Thinking of all the families and those who loved these people who are affected by this tonight.
The classiest and smartest people on the internet agree that the Callous Daoboys are pure gas.
Everybody's over here trying to ban the tush push instead of the real problem in football...games that start after 8pm.
Your sport takes 4 hours to play, and some of us are tired and don't care about the west coast. Thanks.
Absolutely. I also think we can't just give Darlington Nagbe is going to be rock steady for the next three years. They need to start finding his replacement too.
We are still a playoff team in MLS, but people act like that's a major accomplishment oddly.
Additionally - they don't have a replacement for Aidan Morris (which is why they lost in the playoffs last year, IMO), Cucho is gone and finding his replacement is going to determine how the next few years go.
The reinforcements since last summer have been underwhelming. I'm concerned.
I do understand the Crew fans who feel like it's a bad idea to freak out or panic after three games.
I also feel like the Crew fans who feel like *nothing* is wrong are delusional.
Bez isn't re-building this roster. Neil McGuinness isn't either.
The current FO has questions to answer.
A 3-0 loss blows, but guess what doesn't: pizza.

Also, Villa Nova going out round 1 is a disgrace.

Welp, at least the Crew won't have to worry about CONCACAF this year.
Whaaaaat was that? #Crew96
The Mavs have done a bigger heel turn than John Cena in the last two months. Goodness.
PODS UP!
Good news: @degeneratetbone.bsky.social joined the club!
Bad news: we lost the 2nd half of his audio. I blame Porter.
Club talks Porter Ball, Pizza Ball, Soccer Ball, and Less!
Get stuck in!

That's a new one.
The "what happened with contract talks?" question is the biggest one I have.
Given the Crew's GM (Issa Tall) has been on the job for all of 8 months, Crew fans are rightly a bit nervy about this. And the return was solid, but not great.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if MLS keeps transferring promising young MVP-level players in favor of retreads from European leagues while hiding their product behind a paywall, they will never become a major player in the American sports landscape.
Seems obvious, but perhaps not?

WTF is happening
Until the Haslams sell the Browns
To be fair, Harrison clarified that the meeting wasn't as bad as has been reported. He just may have called Steph Curry by his brother's name, but other than that, all a misunderstanding ๐
Before Nico Harrison took over as GM of the Mavs, he worked at Nike, where things went just great...
On his biggest day of the year, the NBA has managed to upstage Punxsutawney Phil.
Dallas initiated the trade talks with the Lakers. WILD.
Its not that AD isn't a good player - he definitely is. But he has injury issues, he's older, and he didn't just lead the Mavs to the NBA Finals like Luka did.
And apparently both guys had no idea this was on the table. Insane.
The Mavs trading away Luka for AD is like if the Bills traded away Josh Allen to get Mike Evans.
This trade has me floored.
I miss mowing my yard.
The Callous Daoboys and Missouri Executive Order 44 made January tolerable. What are you listening to these days?
