With another reimaging of Lara on the horizon for her 30th anniversary, I was remembering one inspiration for her original persona that Toby used to describe her to me when I joined the team in 1995: a Virgin Cola ad that was on TV at the time. Watch it and I think you'll see why.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

As a technical and creative person I've got to admit I'm fascinated by the opportunities AI is opening up. I've been playing mainly with local tools like Ollama and ComfyUI and it is amazing the power it gives you to play around - a song and accompanying video made in a day and half on my lonesome.
