Among the various Next Fest demos I've been playing, the most impressive so far has been #Underkeep. Beautiful environments, lovely scene descriptions to chew on. The demo gave a strong sense of foreboding and left me wanting more.
Live for Next-Fest games again today, I'll be checking out Vampire Crawlers, Underkeep, Blades Bows & Magic.
It's looking pretty intriguing. The map navigation is particularly nice after so many samey spire-likes.

I just exhaled in relief and felt all the tension leave my body. What a soothing reminder...
I would've liked them to prolong the shutdown or keep DHS defunded entirely instead of an ICE carve out. I think the shutdown was the best leverage to preserve departments shuttered by DOGE.
I think they should be trying more, but I recognize that they can't really *do* anything in this circumstance.

A long while back a buddy of mine was work shopping an idea reminiscent of this, but he didn't have a separate card battle screen and was using cards as part of the overworld navigation. Intrigued by the visual style!

So, tariffs ruled illegal, Trump replies by adding more tariffs. We'll see if that turns into a fight.
But there are folks betting on a tariff refund. If it happens, the taxpayers foot that bill. But the tariffs spiked costs, and consumers never get that refunded. We're fucked in and out.
