06.28 train to Newcastle is a bit of a challenge. Lack of recognition of Yorkshire as a region is my point. Same population as Scotland.

Many North American cities have essentially given up on the idea of more downtown housing, right when itβs more important that ever. Other cities want downtown housing, but are skipping over all the changes they need to make to support livability.

Biking to work reduces the odds of dying from cancer by 51%! Youβd think transit planners would find the hell out of bike lanes given how much money that saves to public and the government. Even βfiscal conservativesβ canβt debunk the obvious societal good and savings from that.
Fund bike lanes!

We need an uplift in funding for cycling and walking infrastructure including long distance dedicated traffic free routes (new NCNs) as pioneered on parts of HS2 (e.g. West Midlands) and proposed by @sustrans.bsky.social and EPIKS for TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU)
